Each year in mid-September, thousands of bikers descend on northwestern Wisconsin to take on a 40-mile point-to-point endurance feat. The Chequamegon (She-wa-me-gon) Mountain Bike Festival was born in the fall of 1983 as one of the nation’s greatest grassroots events and has earned its iconic rank in the sport today.

We were asked to re-envision the brand in a way that felt authentic to the 36-year history, the festival atmosphere and the challenge of the ride. This meant creating a cohesive identity that could be translated for print, video, social, web, apparel, and environmental design.
